Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican musician who was born into a family of musicians. As a child, she was exposed to many classical music and old Boleros. Also, she listened to the traditional romance ballads as well as ranchero. Ana is a fan of tangos, as well as opera and dramatic performances. At age 16 she began singing and learning music with her mum. Flavio, a Mexican famous tenor, started giving her a more intensive training in singing. Her musical education continued at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and later to the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. When she was a student, and a young professional, she was a part of numerous chamber ensembles and opera choirs in Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. After relocating to America in the year 2000, she joined the United States in 2000, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before shifting to her home in the southern part of California. She sings with Ensemble XXI Redlands, and is a performer of Latin American traditional music solo for many private functions. She has been involved with a number of local projects in both teaching and performer because of her enthusiasm of music and art. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana feels privileged to have the opportunity to bring to others her passion for traditional Latin American music. She hopes this can inspire younger generations to continue the tradition.
